Southern Tractor Trekkers was formed in 2013 before we embarked on a trek to the New Zealand Ploughing champs at Lincoln in Canterbury. The name for the group is decided by Iain & Nicky Bulling and Davey Craig. Other members in the group took part in 2010 south island trek’s kids for cancer appeal raised over $150,000. Southern Tractor Trekkers aim was to have Fun Runs to various vintage events and to do treks for charitable causes. Most of the members are associated with vintage clubs throughout Southland and South Otago, Thornbury Vintage Club, Te Anau, Central Southland, Edendale, Riversdale and Tapanui.
